U11 Blazers 45 – 10 Padgate Raptors
From the “get set go” Blazers demonstrated aggressive defence against our opponents by closing their players with intensity. Strong defence forced Raptors to quite a few turnovers that were subsequently turned into effective fast break points by Blazers players, with Blazers up 19-6 at the half.
Having eight players in the team allowed Blazers to rotate frequently and keep fast pace throughout the whole game. Raptors were unable to respond with quite the same intensity, partly due to having no subs.
Sharing the ball on offence and helping each other in defence contributed to an impressive win for Blazers against a strong and competitive team.
