Manchester Giants 110-28 U16 Yellow
A tough game for the Phoenix U16 Yellows this weekend against a strong Manchester Giants Prem League team.
A second round cup match and the lads knew it would be tough going.
The first quarter saw some great work at both ends of the court for the Phoenix squad.
At the end of the first Q the score was 30 – 11 to the Giants team.
The Giants stepped up the pressure in the second Q and started to pull away a good lead. Despite the distinct height difference the team still found some good looks to basket but struggled to finish due to oppositions dominance of boards both offensively and defensively.
The Phoenix squad kept battling but struggled to keep up the energy of the first quarter in the last half of the game.
A 111-28 loss but some good learning to take forward into future league games.
