Warrington Wildcats Jaguars 50 – 29 U11 Wildfire
Wildfire made a confident start to their first match against the league leaders, taking an early 8 pt lead thanks to some quick passing and accurate shooting. The Jaguars responded, drawing level midway through the half which then became neck-and-neck. Going into halftime, Wildfire were 7 points behind in what was a competitive first half.
After the break, Jaguars began to pull away as Wildfire suffered injuries to a number of players and struggled to cope with their opponent’s fast breaks. Despite the final result, Wildfire showed great spirit with every player getting on the scoresheet. They didn’t let their heads drop and with the attitude and teamwork they showed, this valuable experience will stand them in good stead for the rest of the season.
