U18 72 – 65 Manchester Giants White
Cheshire Phoenix U18’s got off to a difficult start in the first quarter after a hectic first few mins, going down by 5 after Giants caused pressure.
The Phoenix got back into it as they converted in transition and were more aggressive in the second quarter taking a 2 point lead into half time in which was a low scoring first half.
A flurry of 3’s in the third quarter allowed the Phoenix to extend the lead to as much as 13 with a healthy lead going into the 4th quarter in what was a very competitive game.
A physical 4th quarter allowed Giants to get offensive rebounds causing problems for the Phoenix, bring it back to a 2 possession game. However some clutch 3 pointers and free throws allowed Cheshire to get over the line in which was a really important win to improve their record to 3-1.
