U11 Firestorm 35 – 34 Latchford Lions
Firestorm are now 4 for 4 but this was their toughest game to date.
Early on in the game they were up 8 – 0 and it looked like it was going to be an easy win, but then they hit some foul trouble which sent Latchford Lions to the line a few times and by the end of the first half Firestorm were down by 1 point at 10 – 11.
The second half was absolutely nail biting with Firestorm trying to claw their way back – they did not give up and every single team member on the court played their heart out. With seconds to go Firestorm pulled off a thrilling steal and the Lions then fouled taking Firestorm to the line and, with one of the free throws going in, that was the end of the game taking Firestorm to an exciting 35 – 34 win!
