U13 Hawks 42 – 15 U13 Flames
U13 Hawks took on U13 Flames in this Phoenix Derby for the second time in a matter of weeks. Like the first game, the Hawks took control of the game from the very start, playing some great team basketball and moving the ball swiftly from player to player up the court. U13 Flames found it hard to deal with the speed and accuracy that Hawks played at and found themselves 25-4 down at halftime.
The second half was a similar story apart from U13 Flames coming more into the game, defending better, and moving the ball to enable drives to the basket to become a more frequent occurrence than in the first half. But Hawks were still able to extend their lead taking the second half 17-11, and winning the game 42-15. Well done to both teams on the effort put into the game by every player.
