U13 Flames 12 – 58 Padgate Pacers
U13 Flames came up against an excellent Padgate Pacers team that towered above the young Flames team at every position. Flames started off the game strongly going into a lead early getting a couple of early baskets but it wasn’t long before Padgate’s great team play and physical presence started to take effect. A bit of foul trouble for Flames made things a little harder for the Phoenix team and Padgate took the first half 29-8.
During the second half Padgate continued their relentless pressure on the Flames basket and continued throughout the half to keep the scoreboard ticking. Flames found it harder and harder to get through to the basket as they started to tire due to a lack of bench for this game and also the foul trouble that continued to hamper the team.
All in all despite the result there was some great basketball by the team this week, and we continue to identify areas for improvement during training. Padgate Pacers take this one 58-12.
