Northwich 34 – 55 U18
The Phoenix won in a mid week clash away to Northwich, the starting 5 raced into a lead by making 3 points against their zone, and making it difficult to score for the hosts. The bench came in and made an impact with Callum making a jump shot under pressure.
A slower second quarter offensively slowed the lead as the Phoenix struggled to break down their man defense, but picked up points in transition to extend the lead to 14 points by half time.
Improvements defensively in the 3rd quarter helped the team extend their lead to 27 in the third quarter again making shots against their zone defense.
The 4th quarter Northwich made a 3 pointer which sparked a run for themselves to cut the lead to 19 before a floater from Mentor on the buzzer meant the Phoenix took a 21 point win.
