Warrington Wildcats Sabres 39 – 24 U13 Flames
U13 Flames took on Warrington Wildcats Sabres at a festive Ball Hall where even the Grinch turned up!
A severely weakened Flames team took to the court with only 5 players, 3 of which were coming straight off the back of feeling unwell, another didn’t feel great during the game and the fifth was carrying a slight ankle injury, so hopes were not high from the start of this game.
Having said that the Flames team really showed their spirit and throughout the first half hour of the game really kept pace with the Wildcats team, at one point in the second half closing the gap to just 4 points but unfortunately the Sabres were just too strong on the day and took this one 39-24.
Great to see such spirit and teamwork from the boys, despite it being a tough day this will only help them in the future. Well done boys.
