Bridgewater Jets Blizzards 57 – 31 U13 Flames
With a depleted squad, Flames took to the court with just 4 players and came up against a strong Blizzard’s team. The players started the game with lots of nerves and struggled to convert shots and piece together plays. Their confidence was low and they began to make silly mistakes allowing Blizzards to dominate. They went into half time 30-6 down.
But, today was definitely a game of two halves. After a tough team talk and a change in tactics, Flames came out strong and battled for every ball. They drove at the basket and attacked with the confidence and belief. Some good communication and teamwork enabled Flames to make a good comeback and show what can be achieved if you dig deep and work hard. All the players can be proud of their performance today, despite the final result. Well done Flames for never giving up, and taking it to Blizzards basket-for-basket in the second half. Final score 57-31.
