Manchester Magic III 61 – 38 U14R
U14R took a trip to Manchester to play a very well drilled Magic Team. A tight first quarter saw the two teams pretty much go basket for basket, until right at the end of the quarter where Magic took a slight lead.
In the second quarter the game followed pretty much the same lines with Magic taking a 36-23 lead at half time.
In the third quarter however it moved to being very much in Magic’s favour as they extended their lead by 11 points, making the gap too big for the Phoenix to get back into the game.
As the game progressed into the final quarter the young Phoenix team kept pace with Magic but couldn’t claw back the deficit that Magic had created. A lot learned from this game that we will take into the final weekend of the regular season next weekend when U14R have a double-header weekend against Bromborough and Stockport.
Magic take this one 61-38 and U14 move to 6-4 for the season.
