Bridgewater Jets Tsunami 8 – 40 U11 Heat
The newly formed Phoenix Heat played Bridgewater Jets Tsunami in this summer season, curtain raiser and showed themselves to be a quality side in the making. In a dominant first half performance, Heat put constant pressure on their opponents, backing this up with great passing and accurate shooting, and went into the break 6 – 24 ahead.
Shortly after the restart, Heat’s lead meant they were defending from their own half for the rest of the game and their attacking play focused more on fast breaks. Their scoring rate slowed a little as they adjusted, but their defence remained strong, limiting Tsunami to just two further points in the half.
The players clearly enjoyed their first time on court together with this magnificent win and can look forward to an exciting season ahead. Well done Heat!
