U14R 69 – 46 Bromborough Bulldogs (Playoffs)
U14R took on Bromborough Bulldogs in the 1st round of the Playoffs and also for the 2nd time in 2 weeks, trying to erase the 107-61 defeat inflicted by Bromborough in U14R’s last regular season league game.
U14R came into this game ready after a couple of weeks of hard training and a desire for the ball, and it showed from the 1st minute until the last as they battled for every ball.
Unlike the previous game against the Bulldogs the passing and movement by U14R was on point throughout the game and by all the players.
U14 took the lead early on in the 1st quarter and really never looked back as the game progressed, Bromborough did come back at U14R in the second quarter which was a low scoring quarter but was still edged by the Phoenix Team.
The second half Phoenix again seem to have more desire for the ball and with great passing and good movement off the ball were able to extend the lead, to take this game 69-46.
Well done to U14R who move onto the next round of the playoffs which will be a game next weekend against Cheshire Wire.
