U11 Heat 46 – 22 Padgate Pistons
It was the Heat’s second game of the season in which the home team found themselves up against the Padgate Pistons. From the offset, the Heat showed their experience and dominated conceding turnovers and scoring a flurry of baskets to take the lead 22-8 in the 1st half, with the Pistons struggling to find their fluidity on the offensive end of the floor.
The Heat’s sharp-shooting prowess from the perimeter, and their ability to penetrate and complete tough finishes at the basket, gave the Piston’s defence a headache as they struggled to contain the potent threat from the Heat.
The intensity dropped a little from the home team, as the away side took advantage, during the beginning of the second half but the Heat managed to continue with their impressive solid man to man defence, and athletic fast breaks were key features, leading to victory making them the overall winners. The final score was 46 -22.
