Warrington Wildcats Jaguars 41 – 31 U11 Heat
The Cheshire Phoenix Heat put up a valiant effort against the Warrington Wildcats Jaguars in their latest game. Despite being younger, the Year 5 Heat team showed great determination and skill on the court.
The first half saw Heat playing strong defence, with many steals and a close scoreline throughout. The teams were neck and neck for much of the half, with Heat managing to take a slim lead going into halftime with a score of 17-15.
The second half started off close, but the Jaguars finishing allowed them to pull away. With 10 minutes to go, the Jaguars had built a nine-point lead over the Heat. The Heat team fought back hard, bringing the game within five points with just three minutes remaining. However, the Jaguars proved too strong in the end, finishing with a 41-31 victory.
Despite the loss, Cheshire Phoenix Heat should be proud of their performance against last season’s league winners. Their tenacity and fighting spirit were on full display, and they showed great potential for the rest of the season. The team will no doubt learn from this game and come back even stronger in their future matchups.
