Due to traffic issues on the M56, Phoenix started the game with only five players. Despite this the team played exceptionally well, managing to lead 10-6 after the first nine minutes before calling their first time-out. As players arrived, Phoenix made strategic substitutions to maintain their momentum.

The Hurricanes applied considerable pressure, but Phoenix’s resilience shone through. Effective long-range shooting allowed Phoenix to establish an 8-point lead. At halftime, the score stood at 20-12, with Phoenix in control.

The second half saw continued back-and-forth action. Phoenix maintained their lead, with the score at 22-14 early in the second half.

Good ball movement and precise passing allowed Phoenix to exploit gaps in the Hurricanes’ defense, resulting in a good team played basket.

Free throws further extended Phoenix’s lead, but the Hurricanes fought back, narrowing the gap, and at the next time-out, the score was 28-23, with only five points separating the teams.

As the game approached its final moments, the Hurricanes managed to close in further, bringing the score to 32-29. However, a time-out called by Phoenix with three minutes left allowed them to regroup and execute a series of successful plays. A flourish of baskets in the final minutes ensured a 38-31 victory for Phoenix.
