U16 White 45 – 70 St Helens Saints
10-17, Tied at 2 all for the first four minutes, both teams seemed unable to put the ball in the basket. Nix’s quickly ran through the bench, with everyone getting some time. Unfortunately Nix ‘s were unable to settle with all the change and Saints drew 7 fouls in the first qtr.
22-39 to end the qtr, although was a 2 point game for a few minutes. Nix’s put on a good spell to bring the game closer, but struggled to score as the qtr progressed. Saints scored a number of back to back baskets, after repeatedly turning over the ball. Nix’s again running the bench with most players getting some time, we were still to see some Saints players get anytime.
28-53 at the end of the third. Nix’s looking tired and unable to score. The Saints pulling further ahead, getting almost all the rebounds and seemingly unable to commit a foul.
45-70 tough qtr for the Nix’s although we eventually saw all of the Saint’s bench get some time. Nix’s were unable to run the plays and score much needed points.
